On Tuesday, October 7th, 2025 at 10:03am, an email was sent out to all Sentinel High School students informing them of an exciting new resource for students and staff. The Sentinel Spartans App is designed to track and follow the activities of the various sports and activities. When first logging into the app, a user is prompted to create an account, sign into their account, or continue as a guest (Though the “Continue as Guest” option does not currently work as of the publication of this article).
In order to use the app, a user must be a current student, staff, or faculty member of Missoula County Public Schools. An MCPS email is required to create an account and use all of the features in the app, with an official confirmation code being sent to the official MCPS email.
The app’s features are primarily designed to inform users about the activities and clubs at Sentinel. The app is split into the following structure:

All of these links open inside of an embedded web browser, meaning the app doesn’t host most of the information laid out above but instead directs the user to a link. Once the user clicks on the link, it opens a web browser with a purple and gold theme. There is also an option to open the link inside of the default web browser of the phone or tablet that is being used. This makes the app very secure and safe to use by opening a web browser with encryption and not allowing trackers within the browser.
Before this app, there wasn’t a very easy way to access information about game times and rosters. The only way to find that information was through the Missoula County Public Schools website or third party websites that weren’t always accurate.
Students who don’t have a cellular device are still able to access all of the information found on the app through websites such as MaxPreps, 406 Montana Sports, GoFan, BSN Sports, and MCPS’s website.
This app is in the early stages of development and will only get better for students and staff. While the app may not host any actual information right now, the hope is that one day it will and a user won’t be required to leave the app view or find the full information for clubs and activities.
