MCPS Families,
At MCPS, we recognize that creating a safe learning environment is a critical part of helping each child achieve academic success. This year we are introducing the Safer Montana Tip Line, a new system that students and families can use to report school safety concerns. This tip line will give our school communities another way of sharing concerns with our school administration and community partners.
How does the Safer Montana Tip Line work?
Anyone can access the Safer Montana system through a link on our District and school websites, or they may go directly to the safermt.com website. Tips can also be submitted through the web form on the Safer Montana website, or by text, email, live call and mobile app.
Why is there a need for a tip line system?
The number one reason why children do not report concerns is the fear of negative reaction from their peers. The Safer Montana Tip Line can be accessed at any time by phone, home computer or other Internet-equipped device, removing the worry of being identified by another student, and hopefully increasing the likelihood that any school safety concerns will be shared with the adults who can address them.
We encourage you to learn more about the Tip Line by visiting the Safer Montana website at www.saferMt.com.
Sincerely,
Missoula County Public Schools
