Mateo also tells of his goals for the future, and explains how he’s gained the perspective he has. We share puzzles and board games, and look at our competitive natures. Restaurant stories have us laughing, and he tells us all about the ups and downs of working in a kitchen.

We are fortunate to have Arthur Boot as our guest on today’s episode where we cover all sorts of topics. From college applications and senior stresses to dating apps we have it all. Arthur tells us about his status as an “academic weapon” and we discuss the inaccuracies of memories, as well as the pros and cons of having a sibling.
Arthur brings an engaging new voice to the table as we get to understand one Sentinel student just a little bit better.

Nelson talks about his greatest memories, including marrying his wife (he describes her as “hot”) and the birth of his kids. Ketchup privileges are lost and, supposedly, regained. Nelson is alerted to the scary secret life of his students.
Beyond the jokes, we reflect on some more serious memories and gain a deeper understanding of Nelson’s love for his students. He also talks about where he developed his work ethic and how teaching grew to be his passion.
